AutoCrypt® TS is designated by RDW—the vehicle authority and approval body of the Netherlands—as a Technical Service for UN R155 (CSMS) and 156 (SUMS) based cybersecurity evaluations, in accordance with ISO 17025 (Category A), ISO 17020 (Category B, D), ISO 17021 (Category C).


As a Technical Service of RDW, AUTOCRYPT establishes and operates our management systems based on its primary objective of ensuring impartiality and independence.

A "Technical Service" is a specialized party designated by Type Approval Authorities to assess and validate vehicle models from OEMs against specific regulations, in this case, UN R155 and R156.


The Type Approval Authorities review the evaluation reports submitted by the Technical Service after assessments, ensuring that all criteria are met before granting Type Approval certificates.
